I made it and i am very happy because i cooked something in first time in my life and its much delicious thanks..
ReplyDeleteThis is THE BEST green bean recipe ever....one addition I made was about a tsp. of the bacon drippings. YUM..YUM
ReplyDeleteI made this for my husband and I. I didn't have brown sugar so i zested some orange peel into some plain white sugar and added it to the sauce and poured over the green beans and it was delicious!!! Also we used frozen green beans instead of can and had no issues with mushy green beans or soggy bacon.
ReplyDeleteI did 1/2 the bacon and also pre-cooked it a bit. We loved it
ReplyDeleteAre these okay to make in a crockpot? I’m making them for a potluck at work ?
ReplyDeleteI had them in a crockpot last year. Worked out just fine. I added a little extra soy sauce so it doesn't dry out and kept them on "warm" not on high.
DeleteKae Mentzer, Do you cook it in the oven first and then Warm it in the crockpot or do you cook it in the crockpot on warm? if so, how long?
DeleteThese are absolutely delicious!
